Eleven Modalities.
One Therapist.
One Standard of Care.

Whether you're managing chronic tension, recovering from physical demands, or seeking genuine restoration — Elite Spa Utah offers 11 massage modalities delivered by licensed therapists. Swedish to deep tissue, hot stone to ashiatsu: each one addresses something specific.

Every session begins with an intake. Your therapist reviews your focus areas, pressure preferences, and any concerns before the session begins — then works to a plan that reflects what you actually need, not a standard sequence.

  • Chronic Pain & Tension

Recurring tightness in the neck, shoulders, or back. Deep tissue and ashiatsu reach the root — not just the surface.

  • Stress & Restoration

When stress has become physical — disrupted sleep, shallow breathing, persistent tension. Swedish massage supports nervous system recovery.

  • Recovery & Performance

For those who train or stay physically active. Sports massage addresses overworked muscle groups and restricted range of motion.

  • Unsure Where to Begin

Describe what you're experiencing and we'll guide you to the right service. Call us before booking if you'd prefer a recommendation first.

Questions About
Massage Therapy
in Salt Lake City

Answers to what most clients ask before their first session at Elite Spa Utah.

  • The simplest approach is to call us at (801) 839-8880 and describe what you're dealing with. If you'd prefer to book directly, Swedish is a reliable starting point — your therapist will adjust from there once they understand your needs.

  • Swedish uses longer strokes at lighter-to-medium pressure, focused on relaxation and nervous system response. Deep tissue uses slower, targeted technique at firm pressure to address deeper muscle layers. For persistent pain or chronic tightness, deep tissue is typically the appropriate choice. Your therapist can combine both within a single session.

  • 60 minutes is appropriate for most clients — sufficient time to address primary areas of concern throughout the full body. 90 minutes allows more thorough work across multiple focus areas. 120 minutes is ideal when carrying significant tension or when comprehensive full-body work is the goal.

  • Your therapist will review an intake form covering your areas of tension, pressure preference, and session goals before beginning. Please also note any injuries, recent surgeries, or medical conditions. The more specific you are, the more precisely your therapist can work.

  • Mild soreness following deep tissue, ashiatsu, or sports massage is common and typically resolves within 24 to 48 hours. Staying hydrated after your session helps. If the pressure felt too intense during the session, communicate that to your therapist — they will adjust.

  • It depends on the modality. Swedish, deep tissue, and hot stone sessions are performed with clients undressed to their comfort level, draped throughout. Shiatsu and chair massage are performed fully clothed. Reflexology requires only the feet and lower legs to be accessible.

  • Yes. Heat from the infrared sauna opens muscle tissue before a massage session, and a post-massage sauna session supports recovery. Book your massage online and call us at (801) 839-8880 to coordinate the timing.
