Swedish Massage in Salt Lake City.
Licensed massage therapists. A full-body session from start to finish. Every treatment shaped around where you're holding tension and what you need that day.
The One That Works
on Everything at Once.
Swedish massage is a full-session technique — not focused on one area, not reserved for people in pain. Long, flowing strokes and firm kneading release muscle tension throughout, improve circulation, and bring the nervous system out of the stress response it may have been stuck in for weeks.
It's lighter than deep tissue, but not light — the pressure is real and adjustable. What it doesn't do is dig into one problem area. It resets the whole pattern.
If you haven't had a massage in a while, this is where to start. Our therapists adjust pressure and focus based on how you respond — not a preset sequence.
-
Stress & Anxiety
Accumulated stress lives in tight shoulders, a clenched jaw, and shallow breathing. This session addresses the physical patterns it creates.
-
Tight Muscles
Neck, shoulders, back — the whole tension pattern, not just one isolated spot.
-
Poor Sleep
Difficult to wind down at night. A session often changes that noticeably — most clients sleep better the same evening.
-
Low Energy
Improved circulation means better blood flow throughout. Most clients feel the difference walking out.
-
No Specific Problem
A session doesn't require a reason. Wanting to feel better is reason enough.
-
Post-Workout Recovery
Sore from training? A session the next day reduces soreness and shortens recovery time without the intensity of sports massage.

Swedish with Aromatherapy
Same full-session with an essential oil — lavender, eucalyptus, or chamomile. Compounds the relaxation response and extends how long the calm holds after the session.

What Actually Happens
During Your Session
-
01
Your Intake Comes First
Before anything begins, your therapist reviews where you're holding tension, your pressure preference, and what you want to walk out feeling. No assumptions — the session is built from your answers.
-
02
Full Session, Start to Finish
Unlike targeted treatments, this covers everything — back, shoulders, legs, arms, neck. By the end, every major area has been worked on. Nothing gets skipped because time ran out.
-
03
Pressure Is Always Adjustable
Your therapist checks in throughout and adjusts immediately. Too much or too little — say something and it changes. Most clients don't speak up enough. We encourage it.
-
04
No Rush at the End
When the session ends, you don't have to move immediately. Take a minute. Let the work settle. That transition is part of why clients leave feeling so different.
-
05
Honest Post-Session Guidance
After the session, your therapist will tell you honestly what they noticed — and whether a different length, modality, or follow-up schedule would serve you better.
-
06
Most Clients Return
Not because we push it — because they feel the difference. Monthly sessions tend to mean less accumulated tension week to week, not just relief the day after.
Add-On Treatments
for More Relief
-
Hot Stone
Heated stones applied before the massage begins. Loosens tight muscle tissue faster — especially effective if you've been sedentary or haven't had a massage in a while.
-
Aromatherapy
An essential oil added to the session. Simple, effective, and consistently noticed — most clients who try it once add it from then on.
-
Foot Massage
Targeted foot work added at the end of the session. A strong standalone — even more effective after a full-session Swedish.
-
Head Spa
Scalp and neck work added on. Releases tension that most full-session massage skips entirely — and a consistent client favourite.
Questions About
Swedish Massage
in Salt Lake City
Everything you need to know before booking your first session at Elite Spa Utah.
-
Swedish works across the full session at lighter-to-moderate pressure, focused on overall tension and relaxation. Deep tissue uses significantly more pressure and targets specific areas causing real pain. If you have a chronic injury or persistent knot, deep tissue is likely the better choice. If you're carrying general tension and want to feel better overall, Swedish is where to start.
-
Yes — often more than people expect. Stress manifests physically as tight shoulders, a clenched jaw, and shallow breathing. When a therapist works through those areas, the physical release tends to carry over into how you feel afterward. Most clients notice a real difference by the end of the session, not just the following day.
-
It's the most recommended starting point. Swedish is full-session, the pressure is completely adjustable, and it gives you a clear picture of what massage can do. You'll leave knowing exactly what you'd want more or less of next time.
-
60 minutes is the appropriate minimum for a genuine full-session. 90 minutes means your therapist isn't working against the clock — every area gets proper attention. If you haven't had a massage in a while or are carrying a lot of tension, 90 minutes is worth it. 30 minutes works well as a focused reset or add-on to another service.
-
Prenatal massage uses different positioning and technique — it is not the same as a standard Swedish session. Let us know when you book and we'll match you with a therapist trained in prenatal care. Consult your physician first if you have any concerns.
-
Once a month is a reasonable starting point for most clients. Every two weeks if you're managing significant ongoing tension or stress. More frequently if you train hard. Your therapist will give you an honest recommendation after the first session — not a push to rebook unnecessarily.
